High School Guidance Counselor

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is in search of a full-time High School Guidance Counselor to join the counseling department beginning at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.  St. John’s is an all-boys Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition that assists in the formation of approximately 750 boys from grades 6-12. The High School Guidance Counselor plays a pivotal role in advancing St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy’s by supporting students’ academic, personal and social development.

Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in School Counseling or a related field along with a valid Ohio School Counselor License or ability to obtain licensure. The High School Guidance Counselor provides individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, and social issues, meets quarterly with each student to discuss progress, set goals, and provide support, and facilitates student support groups addressing various needs and topics.  Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of adolescent development, the ability to act and speak in support of the values and mission of a Catholic Jesuit education and ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and tact. Part-Time Data Entry Specialist (Hybrid work environment)

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys college preparatory Catholic High School in the Jesuit tradition, is in search of a part-time Data Entry Specialist that works approximately 20 hours per week.  This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. Key duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately processing all advancement donations in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
  • Processing and sending acknowledgement letters within a predetermined time frame.
  • Providing accurate and thorough reports as requested by the Director of Advancement.
  • Preparing mailings for donor solicitation as requested.
  • Updating donor records with current donor contact and other information.
  • Serving as an advancement team member by attending advancement events.

Candidates must have strong attention to detail, proven track record of accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position while some college coursework is preferred.  Candidates must act in a way to aid in the formation of Men for Others through the Graduate at Graduation; loving, open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, and committed to doing justice.  Candidates must have the ability to successfully pass BCI/FBI background reports and protecting youth requirements.

Substitute English Teacher

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is in search of a long-term English substitute teacher beginning in August 2024 through the end of October 2024.  Qualified candidates must have an expertise in the content area, a bachelor’s degree and be eligible for substitute teaching license in the State of Ohio.  Compensation is $120 per day and candidates must be able to successfully pass BCI/FBI background reports and Diocese of Toledo Protecting Youth requirements. Substitute School Nurse

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys school serving approximately 750 boys in Northwest, Ohio from grades 6-12, is in search of a registered nurse to work as a substitute as needed to cover sick time, personal days, and vacation time for the SJJ school nurse. This is a paid position of $28 per hour and requires proof of a State Board Ohio license, 1.5 hours of Toledo Diocesan “Child and Youth Protection” online training , must be a “healthcare provider” CPR certified, provide recent BCI and FBI fingerprints, and 2 hours of training in the health office. Bus Driver

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys school serving approximately 750 boys in Northwest, Ohio from grades 6-12, is  in search of a daily bus driver for morning and afternoon Oregon routes along with occasional special events.  Candidates must have or be eligible for a class B-CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement and all Diocese of Toledo guidelines.  Training/certification can be provided.  Drivers must support the mission of St. John’s Jesuit to form Men for Others. Compensation for the position is as follows:

  1. Daily Route Rate: $21.00 per hour
  2. Mon-Fri Field Trip Rate: $18.00 per hour
  3. Saturday Field Trip Rate: $22.00 per hour
  4. Sunday Field Trip Rate: $29.00 per hour
