Chief Mission Officer

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all boys school serving approximately 730 boys in Northwest, Ohio from grades 6-12, is in search of a full-time Chief Mission Officer.  The Chief Mission Officer reports to the Vice President of the school and sustains, promotes and animates the Ignatian charism and spirituality which is the core of the school’s mission. The Chief Mission Officer oversees and shares responsibility for Campus Ministry, Christian Service Ministry, Adult Ministry, Ignatian Formation and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.  Other duties for this position include but are not limited to: serving on the school’s leadership team, overseeing outreach to the local community, designing Ignatian programs for new employees and students and overseeing all liturgical duties. This is a hands on supervisory position that actively works in one or more of the ministries that it oversees. 

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, Ministry or a closely related field. Familiarity with spiritual direction and Ignatian spirituality is required.  A practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church is required for this position.  Candidates must have demonstrated experience in collaboration, planning and leadership. Director of Campus Minister

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys school of approximately 730, is in search of a full-time Director of Campus Minister. St. John’s Jesuit develops Christian leaders. As a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, we inspire each student to achieve his greatest potential in a diverse, Christ-centered atmosphere distinguished by academic success and service as a Man for Others. 

The primary responsibilities of this position involve providing Ignatian based programming designed to develop students’ relationships with God, themselves and others by providing support in the areas of prayer, liturgy, retreats,  and pastoral care. The Director is responsible for overseeing a progressive, four-year retreat program, recruiting adult leaders, planning liturgies and prayer services, and morning prayer and the daily Examen.  This position reports to the Chief Mission Officer and works collaboratively with Adult Formation and Christian Service in the Pastoral Ministries office.

The ideal candidate would be a practicing Roman Catholic who exemplifies a faith that does justice, have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Theology/Pastoral Ministry/Social Justice or a related field, and have experience with Ignatian Spirituality.  The ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities simultaneously as well as prior teaching/Campus Ministry experience is also important.  Candidates must be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed.  Candidates may be required to teach up to 2 sections of Theology.

Substitute Bus Drivers

St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is in search of substitute bus drivers for both daily routes and special events.  Candidates must have or be eligible for a class B-CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement and all Diocese of Toledo guidelines.  Training/certification can be provided.  Drivers must support the mission of St. John’s Jesuit to form Men for Others.  Interested candidates please send resume  email Katie Sliwinski.
