“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you to all truth.” (John 16:12-15, from the Gospel at today’s Mass) 

Even people who have been initiated in the following of Christ continue to need the Holy Spirit’s help to grow in understanding of what Jesus taught.  So the Holy Spirit was sent and is with us today as a loving mentor and gift of God.

“I will be a witness to you in the world, O Lord, I will spread the knowledge of your name among the people.” (Psalm 17, from the Opening Prayer at today’s Mass)  St. John Berchmans, pray for us.  St. Ignatius Loyola, pray for us.

“…I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and earth is named, that He may grant you in accord with the riches of His glory to be strengthened by the power of His Spirit…”  (Ephesians 3:14-15)
