More than seventy-five students competed in the first round of competition of Poetry Out Loud, a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering free educational materials and a dynamic recitation competition for high school students across the country.  Titans with tremendous talent were judged by volunteer faculty and staff members.  Congratulations to Owen Wilson `23 who took first place and is moving on to regional competition!  Other noteworthy performances include: Outstanding Freshman Jerome Iskander `26; Outstanding Sophomore Adam Kashk; Outstanding Junior Declan Loisel; and Outstanding Senior Ben Tittl.  Overall in the competition: 5th place – Arsalan Faisal 26, 4th Place - Daniel Schuman 23, 3rd Place – Calvin Siefke, and 2nd Place – Ben Rashid.

On February 23rd, Owen participated in the region competition and won!  He moves on the represent northwest Ohio in the state finals in March.  Congratulations and good luck Owen!
