Team “Johnnies for a Cure” has raised more than $50,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as part of the 2025 Student Visionaries of the Year Award. Led by juniors James Ingle, Joey Nachtrab, and Nico Polizzi, the team, including 15 additional Titans and other students, has implemented a fundraising plan that has qualified them for the Hero Award. For James Ingle who spearheaded the effort, the meaning of the success is personal. Ingle said, “My grandfather died from blood cancer. I wanted to get SJJ involved and to reach high goals in his memory.” The campaign runs through March 21, 2025. Donations to LLS through “Johnnies for a Cure” may be made at sjjtoledo.org.
