EdChoice Scholarship

The Ohio Educational Choice (EdChoice) Scholarship Program is a state-funded scholarship opportunity granted to every K-12 student in the state of Ohio. EdChoice scholarships are applied towards tuition only up to $8,408 in grades 9-12 and up to $6,166 in grades K-8.  Regardless of income, families are responsible for other fees outside of the cost of tuition.  For additonal information about non-tuition fees, please contact Financial Aid Director, Phil Anthony at panthony@sjjtitans.org.  

EdChoice Traditional Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to families
who live in a qualifying school district.

EdChoice Expansion Scholarship
Students not living in a qualifying school district are eligible for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, based on a family’s adjusted gross income. The
income-based option for EdChoice is awarded by the state of Ohio based on each family’s size and related percentage of each family’s adjusted gross income (AGI) to the federal poverty level.
Note:  The State of Ohio determines family size and verifies income, not St. John’s Jesuit

NEW APPLICANTS

during the 2024-25 school year.

RENEWAL APPLICANTS

Click the Ohio EdChoice Renewal button if your student received a scholarship during the 2024-25 school year. This includes those that received the EdChoice Scholarship in 2024-25 at another Ohio private school or those that are returning students to SJJ.

Additional Financial Assistance (FACTS Grant & Aid)

For Non-Ohio Residents:  Although non-Ohio students are ineligible for the Ohio EdChoice scholarship, families can still apply through the FACTS Grant & Aid application for SJJ donor-based financial assistance.

For Ohio Residents: After the receiving the EdChoice award notification from the Ohio Department of Education, additional donor-based financial assistance may be possible through the FACTS Grant & Aid application.
Please note: A $45 fee is required to process a FACTS Grant & Aid application.
