Administrative Assistant
St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is in search of a detailed, organized, and student-centered Administrative Assistant to join our vibrant Jesuit educational community. This is a full-time hourly position with the added benefit of reduced summer hours of approximately 24 hours per week. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this role is essential to the smooth daily operations of the school and to fostering a safe, orderly, and mission-driven environment for our students.
The Administrative Assistant serves as a trusted support to school leadership and a calm, caring, and confident presence for students in grades 6–12. As an employee of a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, the Administrative Assistant balances compassion and accountability while aiding in the formation of young men as Men for Others.
Key duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Leads and manages student attendance and related records with accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
Supports student behavior and school culture through daily interaction, hallway presence, and dress code accountability.
Communicates professionally and compassionately with students, families, faculty, and staff regarding attendance and student matters.
Provides administrative support to school leadership, including scheduling, correspondence, documentation, and meeting coordination.
Assists with student records, enrollment, and state scholarship programs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required with 1–5 years of administrative experience
Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; PowerSchool experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with students in a grades 6–12 in all-boys environment with both care and consistency
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Commitment to the Catholic Jesuit mission and the formation of young men

Work Schedule and Hours:
This is a full-time position with scheduled hours generally occurring between 7:00am and 4:00pm during the academic year. Some flexibility in start and end times may be available for the right candidate. During the summer months, the position works reduced hours of approximately 8:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Thursday.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is commensurate with experience and education in the range of $19-$23 per hour. Part-Time Math Tutor
St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor to join our team of dedicated educators supporting the academic growth and success of students in grades 6-12. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students become confident, independent learners and is looking for a flexible schedule. As a Part-Time Math tutor, candidates will work approximately 2-3 days a week for 15-20 hours a week during the school year.
The Math tutor provides individualized and small group support, assists with assignment completion and test preparation, reinforces key classroom concepts, and teaches study and organizational strategies. This position plays a vital role in supplementing classroom instruction and helping students thrive in a supportive and faith-based environment.
Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Provide academic tutoring tailored to individual student Math needs
Conduct check-ins focused on assignments, assessments, and skill-building
Collaborate with faculty, counselors, and intervention specialists to monitor progress
Foster a positive learning environment that supports diverse learning styles
Model values consistent with the Catholic and Jesuit mission of St. John’s Jesuit
Successful candidates will have:
Advanced Math skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Completion of Diocesan Virtus training and successful BCI/FBI background check required

Substitute Administrative Assistant
St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy is currently accepting resumes for Substitute Administrative Assistants. We are seeking resumes for applicants that are interested in both short-term (several days to several weeks) and on an as-needed basis. This position plays an important role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for students, families, and colleagues in alignment with our Jesuit mission of educating young men for lives of faith, leadership, and service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing a caring and attentive presence for students, including assisting with lost items
Supporting daily office operations and administrative functions
