College Prep for Juniors is a new mandatory quarter-long class taught by SJJ Director of College and Career Counseling Keri Struckholz, designed to assist students in preparing to apply for college and career exploration. In this nine-week course, students will focus on building an effective college portfolio with designated time to research colleges and universities, prepare an activities resume, learn how to write an effective college application essay, investigate more thoroughly the opportunities in the job market, and hear from guest speakers who are experts in their fields. “We are pleased to serve the college and career needs of our students in a manner that goes above and beyond the expectation,” says Chris Knight `78, Vice President and COO, “No matter what interests or post-graduation intentions a Titan may have, this new course offering allows us one more way to make the high school experience at St. John’s Jesuit highly personalized.”
